Hampton Inn Colorado Springs-Airport

The rooms are very large; it felt like a business class room, the one i was in. Very special to me and was the biggest highlight! Couldn't hear anything outside of the room which was great! Also the door was able to prop open so I could roll the cart in and out easier. Breakfast was normal as most hotels, but they had cheese omlettes and potatoes! Service was good. I checked in and out quick.-- but I did book in advance online at the Hilton website The cons: Some hotels use liquid soaps mounted on the walls, but this one still had the classic bar soaps. They also still have the classic tub/shower combo. I personally don't like these and prefer stand up showers. They're much more elegant and look and feel better. I doubt anyone takes a bath in a public tub anyways. Also was expensive. Overall, a solid location to stay for the nice room sizes and i would stay again, though, I wouldn't do it on my own dime because of the price.

Excellent central location close to the airport, gas stations, and restaurants. Three story building with pool, laundry services and free breakfast. Check in was quick and aided by friendly staff at the counter. The king studio room overlooked the rear of the hotel to the nearby Hilton Garden. The room was clean, and had a mini fridge and a small Keurig coffee maker. I travel a lot and the make or break is bathroom cleanliness. Here, the bathroom was clean and had a roomy walk in shower, with Neutrogena toiletries. Oddly, the room did not have curtains on the window - just sheers. This lets the early morning summer sun through. Privacy is an issue in the evening as the lack of curtains allows a virtually unimpeded view into the room. It’s not as if the curtains were missing; there was the railing on the ceiling for curtains. There is also no closet or dresser/drawer to hang or store closes for a longer stay. A simplistic hook and shelf arrangement behind a curtain in the room has a few hangers, but the hooks are close together and hanging articles overlap each other. Breakfast was typical for the Hampton chain. Ample parking is available around the hotel, and is free. Overall, 4.25/5.

Very underwhelming for an almost 200 dollar a night hotel. I think the 4.2 star rating is misleading. It's not anything any of the other Hamptons I've stayed at before. This had more of a Red Roof Inn feel. Stains on some towels, the pull down window shade, the wall closet looks like an afterthought. Neighborhood just has a sketchy feel.
